Description:
Bernard Turgeon created the title role in the Canadian Opera "Louis Riel" in 1967. He also performed it in 1975 for the Bi-Centennial of the United States at the Kennedy Centre in Washington, DC. In 2010, the University of British Columbia held a Louis Riel symposium. Bernard Turgeon was asked to sing the Trial Scene at the symposium.
